Steven Kessner is the largest “for profit” property owner in East Harlem. He acquired his first buildings there in 1983 and still owns them. In short time, Steven Kessner became the man to see if you wanted to save your building from foreclosure or bankruptcy. His buildings are all mostly renovated and well maintained. Today, Steven Kessner devotes a lot of his time to philanthropic interests. For 25 years, Steven Kessner has been a force in the renaissance of East Harlem.
