Steven Kessner has announced that, at long last, he has closed on a property suitable for Uncle Steve's Camp. Establishing a summer camp for disadvantaged, inner city kids has long been Kessner's dream, as a way to give something back to the East Harlem neighborhood that gave so much to him. The camp property consists of 95 acres, located in Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, New York. The site is ready made for a camp and has a farm house office and kitchen, a large bunk building with a barn, a swimming pool and a pond fed by a mountain stream. Kessner's architect and engineer have assured him that the camp could be up and running by summer 2008. For more information on the camp, visit www.unclestevescamp.org
